Last but not least, for sports fans there is a bus from the station straight to the Stade Chaban-Delmas, venue for many sporting events – particularly football.

On leaving the hotel, go down to the quayside opposite the Sainte Croix and Saint Michel districts and admire all the new facilities that have been built over the past few years. Apart from the many parks and wood-paved paths along the riverside, there are also 5 sports areas: a wall for playing handball games, an urban skating zone, a basket-ball court, an urban football pitch, and a sandy "beach" area.
